Meet A Sockers Girl: Angela
Q: Where did you grow up?
Ramona. It’s such a small town but I love how quiet it is. You can actually see the stars! I’m proud to say
I was born and raised in San Diego!
Q: How long have you been dancing?
I started dancing when I was about 3, and haven’t really stopped since!
Q: What is your dance background, and what teams have you danced for?
I have formal training from a dance studio as well as competitive dance for tap and jazz. I also did song
leading in high school and competed nationally in Florida.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
I love traveling, hiking, going to the beach, taking long walks while listening to country music, cooking,
baking and dancing (of course)!
Q: Are you an only child or do you have siblings?
I have two sisters! One lives in Oregon, and the other lives in Arizona. I am the middle child.
Q: What is your favorite charity?
For many years, my favorite charity has been Multiple Sclerosis. My grandma has MS and I enjoy helping
out in any way that I can. I recently donated to Stand Up for kids, which is another amazing charity that
isn’t as well known. They can always use more help for the homeless teens in San Diego. I also enjoy
going to Mexico, with my church, to build homes for deserving families!
Q: What do you see yourself doing as a career one day?
I see myself doing many things! I would love to be an editorial stylist. I also enjoy fashion shows and
love being a dresser for them. Ultimately, one day I will have my own women’s shoe line. I am Italian
and would love to study shoes, one day, in Italy.
Q: What is your biggest accomplishment to date?
This one is tough. After three years at a junior college, I received my associate’s degree and followed my
dream of fashion. I now attend the Art Institute of San Diego, for fashion marketing and management,
and love it!!
Q: What is your favorite quote?
“Everything happens for a reason.” – So cliché, I know, but I follow it every day because I truly believe in
it!
