Diego Rovira
Originally from Lima, Peru, Diego was raised in San Diego where he began his soccer career playing for the La Jolla Nomads from U9 to U19 with Scott Martin and Jose Luna. In addition to his time with the Nomads, Diego played his high school soccer team, La Jolla Country Day School, where he was named Most Valuable Player both his Junior and Senior year. Once he finished high school, he played Division 1 soccer at St. Mary’s College of California and received honorable mention in the WCC his Senior year. After college, Diego returned to San Diego and continued playing soccer with the Nomads Men’s soccer team. He has been passionate about soccer his entire life and is looking forward to a fun season, playing on a professional team with skilled, local players. Outside of soccer, Diego loves to travel, surf and spend time with family and friends.
