Chief Executive Officer
David was born in Johnston, Rhode Island, and moved to California in 1973. Like Carl Savoia, he attended Patrick Henry High School and soon after, pursued a career in insurance. David joined Carl’s Target Insurance Services company in 1994 as a broker, and in 1999, created PIKE INSURANCE SERVICES, a contractor’s insurance company with locations in Oceanside, San Marcos, and Poway. Licensed in 14 states, David is a member of the Montana Captive Insurance Association and the Self Insurance Institute of America. In addition, he holds a Property/Casualty & Life Insurance License and Surplus Lines License. Along with Carl Savoia and Phil Salvagio, David acts as a Principal of Preferred Contractors Insurance Company Risk Retention and Pacific Re, Inc., both based in Billings, Montana. When David is not spending time with his wife or three daughters on family retreats, he can be spotted on a surf board off the California coast.
