Brian Farber added to MASL International Challenge

Franck Tayou, Brian Farber to Play in MASL International Challenge

St. Charles, MO (June 7, 2017) – Soles De Sonora forward Franck Tayou and San Diego Sockers midfielder Brian Farber have been announced as the latest two players to participate in the Major Arena Soccer League’s International Challenge game Friday, June 16 at 7:35 p.m. CT at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. The special exhibition contest will feature players from across the MASL in a “US versus the World” format. Both players will participate on the US roster in the game.

Tayou is a five season professional indoor soccer veteran who was the top goal scorer in the MASL the past two seasons. He is also the league’s reigning MVP. The 2016-17 season was the best of his career thus far, leading the league in points (72), goals (57), average points per game (3.60) and game-winning goals (8). In addition to Sonora, Tayou has played for the Las Vegas Legends, Tulsa Revolution and Oxford City of Texas.

Farber hails from Sandpoint, Idaho and brings nine seasons of professional indoor soccer experience to the pitch. He has played six seasons with the Sockers and prior to that, three seasons with the California Cougars. Farber appeared in 13 games for the Sockers during the 2016-17 season, posting six goals, three assists and four blocks.

More players will be announced tomorrow. Each MASL team was invited to nominate their players for the International Challenge match and the International Challenge committee has selected the rosters.
