By the time you finish reading this, at least one American will have been diagnosed with blood cancer. It seems that no one can escape being touched by cancer in some way. In fact, the World Health Organization estimates that new cancer cases will exceed 21.4 million annually by 2030. Cancer is a devastating disease and one that we are committed to helping cure.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is dedicated to curing blood cancers, and they are getting results. The advancements LLS has made in immunotherapy has led to breakthroughs in brain, colon and breast cancer. In addition to raising vital funds for cancer research, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society works tirelessly to provide patients with affordable access to treatment. To that end, the San Diego Sockers are participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2016 San Diego Light The Night Walk and we are also hosting our inaugural Charity Golf Tournament, in which 100% of the proceeds will be donated to LLS.
