KC Comets Venture West vs Sockers, Former Players

(January 12, 2017) A rare matchup between the San Diego Sockers (8-3) and Central Division team Kansas City Comets     (6-3) is sure to bring non-stop action to the arena. Pacific Division leaders, the Sockers, face playoff hopeful and traditional powerhouse Kansas City Comets on Saturday January 14th, 7:05pm at the Valley View Casino Center. Saturday’s exciting matchup will be the Comets second match of a two game road trip to the West Coast, having played Ontario Fury on Friday night.

Last time the two teams met was December 27, 2014 with the Comets prevailing 10-7. Sockers Forward Kraig Chiles scored a hat-trick in the game and will be looking to repeat his performance this weekend. Current Sockers player Max Touloute also played in that game, albeit for the Comets. Touloute scored and assisted on the night against the Sockers. Saturday marks Touloute’s first game against his former team. Sockers new signing, Goalkeeper Boris Pardo is also on the roster to face his former team.

I think its going to be a great game for the fans to see. I’m looking forward to the outcome of the game, especially because of the relationships I have with the Comets players and the history I have with the entire Comets organization. – Sockers Forward Max Touloute
