MASL Free Agency Starts May 1

MASL FREE AGENCY PERIOD SET TO BEGIN IN MAY

KANSAS CITY (April 19, 2017) – After one of the most memorable championship series in recent history, the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) enters the offseason with preparations underway for the 2017-2018 season. For the first time, the league will have a two-week Free Agency period where players and teams can negotiate with players that have expired or expiring contracts.


Beginning May 1st at 9:00 a.m. ET through May 15th at 6:00 p.m. ET will be considered a “Live Period” for contract negotiations. During this Live Period, players with expired contracts or contracts expiring prior to November 1, 2017 will be able to sign with any team.


If a player is already under contract or signs a contract extension (pending league approval) through the 2017-2018 season prior to May 1st, they will not be eligible during the Live Period.
