Pardo Wins Back-To-Back MASL Defensive POTM


The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the March Offensive and Defensive Players of the Month winners. Ian Bennett of the Milwaukee Wave earned the offensive honors while Boris Pardo of the San Diego Sockers won the defensive.

Ian Bennett scored an impressive 16 goals and three assists in the month of March. He scored at least one goal in every game and had multi-point games in each of the contests. He also scored two hat tricks. Bennett leads the league in goals, points and points per game average. He ends the 2021-22 regular season with 411 career MASL points. Ian and the Wave take on the Sockers in the MASL Ron Newman Cup Finals beginning with a home game on Thursday, April 7.

Boris Pardo made 62 saves and boasts a perfect 6-0 record in the month. Pardo held Chihuahua to just two goals when they played on March 6. Pardo leads the league in wins and goals against average with just 4.2. The Sockers will host game two of the quarterfinals at home against the Wave on Sunday, April 10.
