Pardo And Salvagio Earn 2022-23 MASL Award Honors

The Major Arena Soccer League announced today its 2022-23 MASL Awards winners. The awards were presented by Alex Bastyovanszky live on Twitch tonight. The awards were voted on by MASL teams, broadcasters and media. Sockers goalkeeper Boris Pardo garnered Goalkeeper Of The Year honors for the second consecutive season (third overall) and also was named to the Elite Six team. Phil Salvagio was honored as the Coach Of The Year, after missing out last year.

GOALKEEPER OF THE YEAR

William Vanzela – Baltimore Blast

MVP

Nick Perera – Tacoma Stars
Lucas Roque – Baltimore Blast

COACH OF THE YEAR
Giuliano Oliviero – Milwaukee Wave
Phil Salvagio – San Diego Sockers
Tatu – Mesquite Outlaws

NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR
Luis Genaro Castillo – Monterrey Flash
Gabriel Costa – Empire Strykers
Blas Pérez – Dallas Sidekicks

The Sockers also placed two players on the All-MASL Second Team. Defenders Cesar Cerda and Juan Manuel Rojo were selected for the honor.
