Sockers 2 Sweep Road Trip To Make Postseason
The San Diego Sockers 2 swept their two-game road trip over the weekend to earn a berth in the Major Arena Soccer League 2 postseason. San Diego (7-5) came back to defeat the Arizona Impact 6-4 on Saturday night, and then on Sunday beat the Las Vegas Knights 8-3 to secure a spot in the playoffs.
In Arizona, San Diego trailed by one going into the fourth but scored three times including Sam Palano's game-winner with five minutes remaining. The following day in Vegas, Chad Hagerty's four-point game and Andy Lorei's hat-trick paced San Diego to the victory.
The MASL 2 playoff format will be released this week.
