Sockers 2023 Player Combine Set For November 8
The San Diego Sockers - presented by Kaiser Permanente - will begin preparations for the upcoming 2023/24 Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) season by conducting their annual Player Combine at the team's training facility - Bradley Park - in San Marcos on Wednesday, November 8 from 6:00-9:00pm with registration check-in beginning at 5:30pm.
Players interested in participating in the Combine must be 18+ years old with a valid I.D. to register. There is a one-time non-refundable $75 registration fee to participate for a chance to be invited to the team's Training Camp in mid-November.
Sockers Head Coach Phil Salvagio, Player Personnel Director Chiky Luna, and General Manager Sean Bowers will be overseeing the combine.
"The combine gives us an opportunity to scout local talent and to help continue building the pipeline of players for the first team,” said Bowers. “Maybe we will find more diamonds in the rough as we will be looking for players to help stock the Sockers 2 developmental team for their upcoming season."
In the recent past, the Sockers2 team has played a key role in the success of the organization as several players have been elevated to the first team and contributed to helping the team compete for a MASL championship.
