Sockers Charity Golf Classic Set For December 3
The 15-time champion San Diego Sockers announced today that the team will hold its annual Charity Golf Classic on Friday, December 3, 2021, with a 9:00am shotgun start at the Mt. Woodson Golf Club. The third edition of the event will benefit our non-profit partner Traveling Stories.
Tournament participants will enjoy a day of golf, fun, food, festivities, and interaction with the players. Check-in for the best ball scramble format tournament is 7:30am. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by Brothers Signature Catering. Players will be given a hat and balls from Callaway Golf. Califino Tequila will be on the course to provide tastings.
Registration is now open at www.SDSockers.com/golf. The tournament fee is $600/Foursome, $350/Twosome or $175/Individual Golfer.
"We started this tournament because being active in the community is very important to the organization and this is a tremendous and fun way to give back to local non-profits," said Sockers General Manager Sean Bowers. "Being able to provide needed funds to a program that supports children like Traveling Stories does, makes this event even more special."
Traveling Stories is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in San Diego, California that has been providing low-income children access to quality literacy support since 2010.
