A row of 14 gold stars representing the club's 14 championships is underneath the skyline. In the center, is the iconic Sockers logo with the NASL soccer ball from the 1980's and early 1990's representing the team's legendary years. The anniversary tagline, "A Legacy of Champions," is written in script font inside the banner. The anniversary dates and years of the anniversary are represented by the placement of "1978" and "2018" inside the right and left edges of the ribbon, and "40 Years" in bold font is at the bottom of the logo.
