Visit Oceanside Returns As A Premium Partner

The San Diego Sockers - presented by Kaiser Permanente - today announced a partnership extension with Visit Oceanside. The organization serves as Oceanside's trusted travel authority. As per Club rules, the terms of the agreement were not released.

Since 2010, Visit Oceanside has served as Oceanside’s destination marketing organization, promoting a visitor-friendly atmosphere in one of San Diego's most desired beach destinations. The organization influences over one-third of the $568 million that is generated by visitor spending in Oceanside each year, which supports nearly 3,500 jobs. Visit Oceanside also operates the California Welcome Center, which services visitors' travel, ticketing, and souvenir needs.

"Extending our partnership with Visit Oceanside was a no-brainer," said Sockers General Manager Sean Bowers. "The organization facilitates tourism needs in a populous San Diego City, which will be the home of the 2024 San Diego Sockers."

“We are pleased to once again support the San Diego Sockers and continue building excitement around their move to Oceanside’s new Frontwave Arena in fall 2024,” said Tyler Garcia, vice president of business and brand development for Visit Oceanside. “The Sockers games offer a professional sports experience currently not available in the city, and the new Frontwave Arena promises an exceptional experience for everyone.”

Currently under construction, Oceanside’s state-of-the-art Frontwave Arena will be the home of the San Diego Sockers beginning in 2024. The stadium is located in Oceanside’s El Corazón sports complex area near Oceanside Blvd and Rancho del Oro Drive and will include a 170,000-square-foot arena, which can host more than 6,000 fans for sporting events and up to 7,600 for concerts. The arena also will include a full-service restaurant, bars and concessions, a plaza area, and sixteen luxury suites. In addition to the Sockers, the venue is expected to host concerts, amateur sports, and community events.
